"Painted units with a Gothic twist..." It was decided
to build this kitchen around a door design with a Gothic arch
to mirror the existing architecual features of the room.
It was also decided to give much of the Kitchen a free standing
feel, even if most of it was fitted.

The units were constructed from solid Oak board giving the inside
of the cupboards a quality finish. One problem with the room was
that it had no windows, just skylights. To help with this we made
an alcove unit with glass doors, backlit themand painted the inside
blue. This gave the impression of the outside shining through.
|
We built a number of free standing pieces to complement the
design. this included a dresser and a split-level Island with
reclaimed Oak legs.
A Large kitchen similar to this would be in the region of
£25,000 excluding appliances at today's prices.
