This kitchen was based around a few basic
requirements. The customer had bought their own LACANCHE
range which sat a little lower than they wanted the worktop
height , the room had little natural light and they didn't
want to cover the walls with units. We were also following
a similar layout to before and had to make sure we covered
any gaps in the floor tiles.

To solve the problem with the worktop
height we lowered the units either side of the range. Instead
of wall units for storing food we built a dresser with food
storage drawers and placed it conveniently next to the refrigerator.
|
We decided to paint the units with Farrows Cream to lighten
the room. The Baltic
Brown granite tops also reflect any available light. The
units were made from solid pine boards. the handles are iroko.
A kitchen similar to this would cost in the region of £15,000
excluding any appliances, plumbing or electrical work.
